While it is good news that QCOM and ERICY are close to an agreement, we all know what kind of reputation ERICY has. I would not be surprised to see a major problem crop up in negotiations. Remember, ERICY wants the best deal they can get and will stop at nothing to get it. Hopefully QCOM management will hold firm and refuse to sell their birth right too easily. $70 is a small fraction of QCOM's future value and another month or two delay could pay off in the coming years if it allows QCOM to negotiate a more favorable deal.

Just think, if QCOM shares move like this based upon rumors and possibilities, imagine the violent action possible when QCOM actually signs a favorable agreement and the uncertainty is removed.
