We know who really broke the scam. It was certainly the finding of Peter Tosto's name change that was the key to the SEC action and not CB's article. Mike Ager from Topstock cracked and told me about it in a phone conversation. I think you will see my post shortly followed by a post from topstock....all this was pre-byron. Not to mention I notified the SEC attorney of this development many hours before CB's article

Disclaimer: I like CB's work but never realizzed he was taking credit for this

I Agree with BearDown, that the key to cracking this case was the Tosto connection - which BearDown broke on this thread prior to Byron's article... BearDown deserves significant credit for that key bit of research...

But as to who gets credit for breaking the story...

For me this is not an ego trip, I like to get the bad guys and without a journalist with national distribution we cannot "get" the bad guys effectively. I will gladly give away all of my research on various scams as long as the story gets published and widely distributed.

I personally am thankful to Chris Byron for running the story.

I don't care who takes credit, or who took credit, all I care about is that the scam is uncovered. All of us who worked this story know how it unfolded. If we discover scams, short 'em and then the story gets released, the money I make from my short is the only reward I need.

Cheers Steve
