You know that no manufacturer wants their pricing structure dictated to them by one component maker. It's rare that one component maker can price a whole end market. OEMS traditionally look for second sources. Gateway is getting a good deal on K6-IIIs and also getting in line for the K7...just "in case" AMD can deliver. RE:"Just heard a Celeron 400 MHz computer, with plenty of beef for memory, HD et al ad on the radio from Fry's ...$799! How many people will bother with AMD inside for the same price? You want a BMW for $20K, or would you rather have this Fiat for the same price." A Celeron is a great chip but the K6-III will be positioned between it and the P-III pricewise. Jim
