Trufflette, OT, you received a nice upgrade boost on RMBS today. What do you think fair value is for this stock?

:O)

You've identified Dell as one of the great trading stocks...I would agree....I think this is one fact that makes it very hard for the "doom and gloomers" scenario to come to pass anytime soon ...Despite the recent bigger-than-normal-after-earnings-announcement-drop of around 28% from the highs vs. (over the last 5/6 quarters) an average of 16-18%...(bigger) justified due to the "weak" (for Dell) quarter....But, this drop is par for the course...the "trading action" on Dell has not really changed here, wouldn't you agree?

So, I see no reason, if the market perceives that Dell is going to have a strong quarter (relative to last, historically) in Q1 ending April...that we won't see the typical trading run into earnings in April/May.....what we are seeing now is probably a nice bounce from a short-term "oversold" condition.......but, in the last several quarters, Dell has not done too much the first 4-6 weeks after earnings....

If (today/Friday) signals is a new bull leg-up, I don't even think Michael Burke would want to bet against Dell in that case....

Do you see any reason why traders would view Dell differently now (than before)?

Assuming I'm right here, Dell shareholders (long & short-term) get pretty instant gratification on this issue...with that, it is hard to build an avalanche of selling..even those who bought at 100-105 may be able to dig out (fairly) quickly..

Of course, Dell has to get back to its familar pattern (of nicely exceeding analyst's estimates)...looks like it is setting itself up (still, we are early in the quarter) to do so again...

IMO, the big threat to Dell is the next two weeks...However, Dell has looked awfully strong in the 70's...today's action encouraging...TIA
