Walt, it was just pointed out to me here that, contrary to my previous statements, I have indeed been in the mining business, although i've never thought of it as such - i've had front-end loaders for years, and many times have loaded trucks out of pits. Sold a little gravelly sand one time off my own place, somewhat dubious legality there as we didn't fill out any forms and thus didn't have a permit. Several summers i had a loader near a shale pit, and used to load for a dollar a yard. Each winter the top of it would soften up so each summer you could take another ten inches or a foot off it. If I remember correctly the owners charged sixty cents a yard for the material. This was in the early-mid-80s.

So hey - i'm a miner. Am i gonna take crap from phoney Phrenshtwits?
