Re: "The lack of any real AMD K63 customers is causing you to stutter ?"

Paul, you know and I know that the OEMs will line up just like they did with the K6 and the K6-2. You post this same tired cr*p every time AMD announces a new processor or speed grade, but at this point nobody is buying it. If AMD can sell its 400 MHz K6-2, which run slower than a PII, why wouldn't it be able to sell its K6-3s, which run faster than a PIII?

You know Gateway will be using the K6-3. You know Compaq will be using the K6-3. I'd certainly call those two real customers. Other OEMs will follow with product announcements. The limiting factor at this point is supply.

Kevin

Paul,
"The lack of any real AMD K63 customers is causing you to stutter ?"

In denial again?
The K6-III is a good stop-gap before AMD delivers the KO punch with the K7, wouldn't you say? K6-2 has brought down the Celeron prices and the CPU-ID and K6-3 will start to poison the P-III in Q2 before the K7 picks off the Xeon this summer.
They talked about tri-level cache but its really tri-level price points, K6-2, K6-III and K-7, that is the hat trick for AMD....
AMD has never had such a line up of chips as they will have this summer. Intel could have no where to hide the big margins....
