Scott Bailey,

I certainly thought your posts were on topic.

I would point out several things. 1. Osicom is shipping now.
2. It's not all or nothing. Osicom only needs a small part
of this market to be quite profitable. 3. Lucent's product
will not necessarily be better than the Gigamux, although the
points about integration and RBOC customer relationships are
well made. 4. It's not clear that there is anything else like
the EPC add-on to the Gigamux. This may sell very
well and cause the sale of many Gigamuxes. 5. Don't forget
NetSillicon. 6. Don't forget buyout value after IPO of
NetSillicon.

< Who in the telco business is just going to trust Lucent, ha, Osicom leads the Metro DWDM field, surely they are much more trusted that Lucent.>

Sir Bailey,

You sound more and more as a salesman in trouble.

Against the total corrupt social and commercial background we are forced to exist most of those news releases are not newsworthy at all. They are manufactured against a fee.Every single one has a purpose and while some are designed to excite the audience either in a positive or negative way, others are aiming to help sales forces in the field of trouble. In particular when they represent a world leader with leading sales prices but without a product their boss was to ignorant to develop at all.

Lucent the world leader, the monopolist of the old school, the multi billion corporation with all the technical eggheads money can buy (and by God Lucent has money to burn)lacked the foresight to develop a short haul DWDM years ago, but now comes around with a cockamenia story dressed up as news affirming leadership against the transfer of bucks.

Two thousand DWDM customers Lucent has worldwide.A meager result I say.And not a single DWDM Metro customer!

Beg your pardon Sir Bailey you are indeed a clown for linking us to this underhanded attempt by the bully of the block to muscle in on all the sales prospects of OSICOM.

Don't buy from them. Wait for us LUCENT we are the world leader. You know us. And we will give you a big discount for waiting as well The rest of the Lucent sales spiel you posted yourself Sir Bailey.
