My animal friends are equally important to me as my people friends.

Well, we have found a clear point of difference. Yes, I love my animals, and I have a concern for all the living things that share my property and my planet with me. But equally important? No way.

If my dog and my child were both in danger of being run over by a truck and I could only save one, there is no way they would be equally important to me. I save my child. No question. No equality.

Same answer for a person and animal I didn't know.

Same answer if a person and animal were both in danger of starving through no fault of their own. My sympathy goes to the animal, but my food goes to the person.

If I can help both, I will. But equal priorities, no way.

We are different on that score. If that shows I'm a conservative to your liberal, so be it. No apologies for my priorities.
