When you say "went in and changed to Matrox Monitor" do you mean changing which video card
driver the os is using or changing the monitor model?
What did you change FROM?
Which video card are you using?

I'm using a Matrox G200... it gives you a choice of 3 ways to recognize your monitor model. (1) VESA settings (2) Plug-and-Play (3) Matrox Monitor. I was using PNP since my monitor wasn't on the Matrox Monitor list ( they listed a 445Xi....I have the 445XiPlus). But I wasn't getting 1152x864 offered as an option. Sean said he liked using the 'Matrox Monitor" (#3) way of having Matrox card recognize his monitors. So I 'went in' and changed from PNP to Matrox MONitor by creating a custom listing for my monitor to appear in the Matrox list of monitors...so that I could choose it.

Lo and behold.. it worked...I have my 1152x864 @ 75 HZ....
