If you read about one stock today....take a couple minutes and let this sink in. Just spoke to Miles at the PR firm. CONTACT: Microphonics Inc., Nashville Jimmy Gayle, 615/871-4000 They make two Ultrasound units that both GM and Ford are ordering. Ford is ordering 6,557 over a 12 month period for each one of their rotunda dealerships. This is the $500 basic unit that has a cost to produce of only about $83.00. GM is ordering their high end unit for thier manufacturing plants that retails for $3,000 and has an outstanding margin as well. Cost is $433. They just spent a week at ONE small GM plant who ordered 40 units for every dept. They are training at another GM plant next week in Dayton. When they get 3 plants up, GM will suggest that ALL plants place orders for 30-200 units per plant. WHAT ARE THESE UNITS SO INTERESTING TO GM AND FORD? They are patented ultrasound units that are used for quality control and there is nothing like them. They feature patented technology for "selective hearing", so that the workers in the plant can detected compression leaks, wheel bearing noise, valve noise, etc. No other ultrasound units have ever worked well because there is too much ambient noise in the plant to get accurate readings. >>> THESE PRODUCTS ARE MANUFACTURED AT THE BEST MANUFACTURING PLANTS FOR MICROPHONICS AND THEY CAN CRANK THEM OUT FAST AT VERY HIGH MARGINS. The smaller unit is manufactured by Bulova, the watch people. The larger by UMM Electronics that makes high end medical ultrasound equipment. Remeber margins are great and many new contracts are expected. PS- learning curve is 20 minutes on the ultrasound units or less. Workers LOVE them.
