Hi Carole, A firewall is something external to your machine. A browser on your machine should be able to access another application (i.e. BrowseMaster) on the same machine without going through the firewall. A proxy server is also external to your machine, however, the browser is configured to send all requests it receives to the proxy server instead of the actual address. If your browser is configured to use a proxy server, then the current version of BrowseMaster will not work. A version that support proxy servers is currently being tested. It is also possible that your machine has been configured in some unusual way. My best guess is that you have a proxy server for web access. Have you checked your browser configuration to see if the proxy settings are enabled? Craig
