I usually resent it when people post messages about non-thread stocks, but I want to get some feedback from some of the tech-heads that monitor this thread.

I own shares in NeoMagic (NMGC). Their core business is graphics chips for notebook PC's. Their situation seems to be very similar to PTEC - great product, market dominance, strong balance sheet, good growth prospects, focused management - and a stock that Wall Street seems to be supremely disinterested in.

I would be interested in anyone's opinion on the parallels between PTEC and Neo.

While investors pour more money into Intel, Cisco, Microsoft, Sun, et al., these "value plays" continue to languish. When the tech correction occurred, I expected the money to go to new players, not back into the same stocks from which it came. Am I too smart for my own good, or too naive?

Marc,Mark and Jules,

Hello world PTEC just made another incredible announcement: Secure Agent (pretty good name, but I would prefer secure boot and an Icon of a computer with legs and a boot locked on it's feet.) The market for this has to be huge! I have two notebooks and I would like secure agent on both.

What is wrong with this market? Every time I talk to my broker he tells me I should sell some PTEC. I keep telling him that with stocks trading at over 100 to 1 PE's (CISCO) or no earnings (AMZN) I want to stay in value stocks especially PTEC, because of the potential of being a growth stock. Someone please help me understand. Why don't others see the value and potential of PTEC or what do you know that I don't?

The only thing I can think of is it is a lot easier for brokers to sell vapor than the real thing.
