MR. BURKE, perhaps it is my lack of "30 years" experience that allows me to see the true potential of companies (and the market), rather than to be helplessly hobbled by the charts and valuation methods of yesteryear. It is true that experience can be a great asset, but it can also cloud one's thinking with cynical pessimism. We've seen that for a while on this thread, and I believe that others will come along espousing the same "the sky is falling, the end is near" thinking. You've interpreted one quarter's numbers as being the death-null for DELL. That's mighty short-sighted thinking for one of your experience. I look at the glass as half-full. I see Dell, the Company, maturing and stabilizing into a global earnings powerhouse. My stock is safer to own now, than it has been in a while. I look forward to a good future with the Company, and the opportunity that it has given me to make sizable investments in other quality firms with great stories for the future. I look forward to tomorrow with anticipation for what will be. It is easy to understand the bitterness that some bring to the thread when they seek to trash DELL. I might be as bitter, too, if I had missed the ride to this point. The funny thing is that they all have mistakenly said that the ride was over. If they had just gotten on... Life is full of "ifs".
