I think that pad answer from big companies on Y2K compliance is "we are on target". To me the reasons are obvious: 1) No body wants to admit that they are behind. they are afraid that wall street will lose confidence in their abilities. 2) It cost money, and will cost more money.. To admitt that they are going to be working beyond 1-1-2000 (notice that my post is now Y2K compliant) is admitting that operating expenses not forecasted will also be there. Translation: less profit. 3) Many companies are probably taking a wait and see attitude, but won't come oput and admitt it. Just my thoughts.
