This sure is a volatile stock! I would fully endorse the company buying back stock from IBM (or whoever) at a bargain price. Due to the proven ability of this stock to drop under selling pressure, my idea of "bargain price" would be $5. I regard that as 20 times current earnings, an clearly below fair value.

I'd be cautious about supporting a buyback at $7, since the company can't afford to blast cash away recklessly. A buyback at $5 instead of $7 would be so much better for shareholder value ... and once the cash has been spent, another buyback won't be possible for a while.

I think this stock is a great one to hold for a 40% annual return over the next 10 years. However, whatever happens over the next 1 year is anybody's guess.
