The Marshall Plan was not responsible for Germany's economic miracle, but it did provide a necessary bridge for the country to get back on its feet. More important, it provided an essential outlet for the enormous excess in American industrial capacity that was left by the sudden cessation of demand for war goods.

Larry, Germany was not the only European nation that benefited from the plan, we benefited probably the most.
