Pretty hard to believe there were approx 2x new lows vs new highs today !!!!

Mao II: I noticed how the breadth deteriorated in the afternoon, also the larger number of new lows than highs and the relatively light volume.

We are left guessing as to how much of today was the aftermath of Friday's option expiry, how much due to the mysterious hedge fund (s) which was/were allegedly covering short positions, and how much due to genuine conviction that prices in the near term should be 5-10% higher than they are.
