"EAII did not work out. It dropped below the $48 support. MACR broke out to the upside and 31 1/2 is now the support. I say go with MACR and SPNFS tomorrow"

Yeesh, I elected to go with EAII and not MACR! PZZA up, MACR up nicely, and EAII fainted on really weak volume. Today Zacks downgraded it to a sell!

I looked at CLST too, but woulda, shoulda, coulda!

Rumor on TXCC is some deal with CIEN???

I didn't expect today's market, that's for sure. I was looking over many charts over the weekend and I now have a more bullish short term outlook then I did last week. After today's market reaction, I would be VERY cautious of AG's comments tomorrow. I think we could continue to rally tomorrow morning and depending on AG's testimony, we could reverse and head south if his comments make waves. If he comes out and says the market's valuation is excessive, look out below.

One of the main factors that brought me to the more bullish view was looking at Decision Point's candle splash screen. We can see almost all the charts with a slightly upward trend (by connecting the higher lows on the charts). The strong exceptions are Oil and Gold. Dollar chart looks very healthy and this should bode well for the overall market. Keep in mind this is a very short term view. The trend lines are pretty obvious and a break below should be viewed as very bearish. Until we breakdown, I've a bullish leaning and will play that direction. This could change as quickly as tomorrow afternoon! <g>

Terrific move in the communications semiconductors. UNPH, TXCC, VTSS, GALTF, RFMD and a few others were extremely strong with solid volume. UNPH is hard to call, serious momentum play. I'm wondering if it's not a little over done. I would say the momentum could lift these stocks higher at tomorrow's open.

Thean,
Geez, I'm just full of lousy advice: Dell, Megsinet, and SPNSF. You did make a few bucks flipping one of my picks a couple times a while back though didn't you? Which one was that, anyway? SPNSF did beat the market on a pretty strong day :) Here's some good advice for you though. Six weeks is too long for a cold or flu, even bouncing between family members. Ya'll have somethin' else (like sinus infections) and need to see a doc for some good meds, unless you've got other connections. Do you know any good pharmacists :)

Sorry you missed CLST but I'm still liking SPNSF better. I liked CLST again back when it started to move in early Jan. but it's looking a bit overbought to me know. The rest of this lengthy post is me spewing off some of my new found TA knowledge. Let me know how full of it you think I am, but be nice :)

I've been using longer term trend lines and don't like that CLST failed to break the downtrend thru the highs in 10/97 and 7/98 when it pulled back on 2/1/98. It's got a nice accelerating uptrend right now but the weekly and daily stochs are already over bought. It could run up strong here a bit more, if it's overbought there's little supply to fed any demand there might be, but I won't be surprised if it pulls back after making a lower high on that downtrend thru the highs on 7/21/98 and 2/1/99, a bit under 13, and then continues it's downtrend. Still, 11 to high 12s would have been a pretty good scalp!

SPNSF, on the other hand, looks over sold but recovering in the stochs and MACD. The thin volume is troublesome, but if it breaks over the downtrend thru the 1/20 and 1/27 highs, with some volume, we could be looking at a really big runner. You wouldn't believe my target if I told you (I don't believe it myself) but it is I in a pattern that could lead to completing a cup and handle formation with the '93 high. (See, I told you you wouldn't believe it.) Still, it doesn't have to go that high to be big winner. The thin volume could show more improvement tomorrow, Doug R posted that he got in this afternoon and he's getting quite a following now. The volume today was almost double the average. Geez, I wish I had more dry powder!

On EAII I'm having a bear of a time picking out that broken support you see at 48. It's a good trader with high volatility and looks a bit oversold to me. I think it might just be resting a bit from that big swing last Thursday before taking off again. I wouldn't give up on it unless it breaks below the uptrend thru the lows on 12/2 and 2/18.

So, how'd I do?
