<this is not about the stock> anyone looking for cheap books check out shopping.com. i don't know who owns it (i heard something about cpq but am not at all sure) here's a comparison for one book: amazon.com ($21 + $4 shipping) www2.buy.com ($18 + $5 shipping) shopping.com\|42\|30\|8\|000420637881\|-1&x=cgi-bin ($15 +$3.50) i think amzn is symbolizing "internet" and if it's a gift, you may want to go with amazon and pay the few extra bucks. edit: "Compaq Announces Successful Tender Offer For Shopping.com Acquisition" biz.yahoo.com also, if you like amzn for gift buying, you may want to look at gymb. i don't own as many shares in gymb as i used to but am likey to add, maybe the 25th when earnings are released (?). gymboree.com.
