Cirruslvr,

Slower, Paul. Intel's chip is slower.

I heard that PIII sped up the Internet. My understanding from Intel's marketing is that the Internet detects a PIII, and works extra hard to make the PIII happy.

In turn, the PIII gets highly stimulated by the Internet and can't wait to exchange CPUID information. Without proper protection, this practice can be dangerous however.

The problem for PIII is that after a few months, the Internet may lose it's attraction and feel the need to seek after an even bigger stud, like K7.

AMD Presentation

I think this is the presentation AMD will show at the investor meeting tomrrow.

This page is big and takes some time to load.

ga-source.com

Paul, I thought I would post the link you would like the most - ga-source.com.

Enjoy.

Cringeing - Re: "Slower, Paul. Intel's chip is slower. The customer will see these benchmarks. All customers may not change their mind, but a good proportion of them will, and they will purchase K6-III systems, whenever they become widely available."

Sure.

Let's all "believe" AMD's trumped up benchmarks.

The K63 is going to be a loser. The 2.4 volts tells us all that AMD is having enormous problems yielding competitive parts.

Re: "whenever they become widely available."

That sure means a LONG WAIT !!!!

No announcements today !

Just CyberSmash is selling the only ONE !

I tell you - this K63 is sure taking the INDUSTRY BY STORM - A FIRESTORM !

Cringe - Re: "As far as the notebook version of the K6-3, Jim says it exists."

Jim says.

Jim Says.

Jim says.

Does that MAKE IT SO !?

McMannis is a buffoon - he didn't even know the DAWGMEAT K63 requires a 10% JACKED UP VOLTAGE !

That shows just how plugged in McPanic is !

Cirruslvr, Well those benchmarks certainly put Intel down a peg or two. Engelbrat Humbledink is ranting and raving about left field issues, that seems all he has left. Who cares about the heat, let them fine tune that and get cooler and faster. I expect Intel has some benchmarks that show otherwise. Any independents release comparisons with recent and not advance chips?

Cirruslvr,

Thanks for the neat web pages, I kind of like the COOLED 500MHz version for less than the 450MHz P-III. (Kind of makes you wonder what kind of nut would buy INTC, doesn't it?)

We got the chips, time to go for volume!
