3-D only as good as ISP Bandwidth, Your Modem & PC...this is in response to the recent posts on Yahoo regarding Starnet's lack of sophisticated 3-D imaging...

How fast is your UART, CPU, What's your bus speed... how much memory do you have, what kid of video card and video memory do you have, how fast is your modem, what's the quality of your phone line... The buzz today is broadband but, the above are all limiting factors.

According to Techweb, on the new Pentium III, designed for enhanced graphs, especially 3-D: You would have to be connected to your ISP at 1.5 Mbs to take advantage, that's faster than ISDN.

I think most gamblers, as most other folks surfing the web will not be using 600-800Mhz pentiums and cable ISP links. Now if you want really good 3-D, try Silicon Graphics, and a bidirectional cable link...

Just my thoughts...long on SNMM
