It's clear that the others didn't come forward because the K63 simply isn't available. There is no volume or Compaq at the very least would have been there with a system to introduce. The K63 is again a nice foil presentation but nobody seems willing to commit to using something AMD can't produce, even with jackedup Vccs. They were backed into a corner and had no choice. AMD had to respond to Intel's PIII so they responded with vapor. Plain and simple, or maybe it was like Jim told us last year. They are holding back on the K63 so as not to hinder sales of the existing K6-2 die inventory.
