More News this evening: looks like SVB is a thing of the past for Donner: ubj: Donner/Falconbridge Strategic Alliance Date: 2/22/1999 11:38:00 PM Canada Central Standard Tim From: dbrook@bed-rock.com (Dave Brook) To: Undisclosed-Recipient:;@duke.electric.net; File: Donner Claim Map2.tif (482135 bytes) DL Time (31200 bps): < 4 minutes February 23, 1999 Donner News Release Harvey Keats, President of Donner Minerals Ltd. is pleased to announce that the Company has formed a strategic alliance with Falconbridge Limited, one of the worlds leading nickel producers. Donner has entered into a binding letter agreement with Falconbridge, whereby the Company has an option to earn a 50% interest in all 24 mineral claim blocks, totalling 511 claims (8,176 hectares), staked by Falconbridge in the Lac Rocher area of Northwestern Quebec. In order to earn its interest Donner must pay $250,000 for acquisition costs and incur a minimum of $2,000,000 of exploration expenditures on the claims over the next two years. Falconbridge had completed a compilation of available geological, airborne magnetic and electromagnetic and lake sediment geochemical data for the Lac Rocher area approximately six months prior to the recently reported discovery by Nuinsco Resources Ltd. This allowed Falconbridge to identify and stake specific high priority targets immediately after Nuinsco announced their discovery hole. Of the 24 claim blocks, 3 are contiguous to the Nuinsco property border on the east and southern sides. (See attached map) Donner and Falconbridge are currently planning a work program consisting of linecutting, geological mapping, prospecting, airborne and ground geophysical surveys and diamond drilling, further details of which will be announced as they become available. The Lac Rocher area is the site of the recent massive sulphide Ni-Cu-Co discovery by Nuinsco Resources Ltd. As announced by Nuinsco on January 25, 1999 the discovery hole intersected 61.5 meters of 1.69% Ni, 0.49% Cu with cobalt, platinum and palladium values. This intersection included a 3.2 meter massive sulphide interval with 10.8% nickel.
