>>Tomorrow I believe Greenspan is having a meeting and might give a hint as to whether the Fed will raise rates.<<

I always sit up and take notice when Mr. G is about to speak. I start to think about making a bunch of short term moves in our portfolio. Then I remember that I am in it for the long haul, and I have to remind myself that if the market drops - well then the Bargain Signs start come out.

I look to any drop as a great buying opportunity. Long term, for the good companies, these current prices will be seen as ridiculously low. I am sure everyone has their own favourite example of company who has had an exponential increase in its share value over the past number of years. Yesterday, I heard two more stories that started out like this . . . "If I had only put $10,000 in this company's stock in 1990, then it would be worth $700,000 today". Oh, and Doug, one of them wasn't an internet or technology stock.

I say let Mr. G do his stuff, and we can win either way!

But as always . . . I'm Crazy!
