Where is the 'sub-cheap crapola' form CPQ??????

Lokeon:

I went shopping this last weekend, checked Radio Shack and Dillards and couple of other stores, these places sell CPQ but I didn't see anything less than $1300.00 (just one model) everything else was $1500 to $1800 bucks.Oh well so much for the sub-zero deals.

Thanks for that post on my favorite woman on Wall Street, Abby;I am trying get in on couple of their IPOs I wonder she will put in a good word for me at Goldman Sachs,we'll see.<g>

Lockeon, I imagine you are referring to this portion of the talk:

We've seen this thing before, in biotechnology in the early 90's, semiconductors in the 70's and and in the 50's household appliances…. We think the valuation models based on market share and projected revenues do make sense and we think that as is the case in most new, fast growing industries, a focus on current earnings and cash flow usually doesn't give you the right answer.

Actually, I am in total agreement. The focus for successful investing must be future cash flows, particularly for emerging businesses, and I think that is what she is referring to. But there is quite a leap from that assertion to claiming that the internet stocks pass muster of a future cash flow valuation basis. When she can demonstrate positive future operating cash flows for Amazon I will begin to take that company seriously.
