John, thanks for your well thought-out posts. I'm pretty well convinced that DELL will pull out all the stops this quarter to ensure strong revenue and EPS. I do believe, however, that in order to generate satisfactory revenue they will compromise margins. For this reason I think the 22.2% margin I used may be optimistic. But I do believe the $0.35 [actually $0.175 rounded up to $0.18]is realistic.

The first sign of this strong quarter is already evident. I believe it was Michael DELL himself who stated last week that DELL had an unprecedented 50% win rate on corporate accounts in January. I don't believe they could hit this kind of number without being very aggressive on price.

In any event, I have a feeling that Michael DELL will add more positive news on Wednesday's Squawkbox.
