Tom, hearsay is of limited value without specifics.

First of all, is the rumour true? Secondly, even *if* it were, it might even be a deliberate move on CGI's part to cull less desirable staff who are overly concerned about security rather than focusing on improving processes and operations.

For instance, what type of IT worker are we talking about? - the kind who perform routine tasks requiring limited creativity (and who tend to be more concerned with security/pensions) or the highly creative types who are more concerned with opportunities for personal growth and may be more driven by a sense of accomplishment and contribution?

You need both types in an organization such as CGI but the former are far more easier to replace than the latter.

Let us know what you find.

Thanks.
