Well for one thing.... Compaq tried repeatedly to go live with Sap. Last I knew they had a partial Sap implementation... what a mess.... but lets assume Sap has their order cycle, well then that means they can't outsource pick-release level fulfillment to the shippers, it has to be all in-house. I'm not even sure if they have I2 installed, but if they do, it certainly is a simple system compared to Dell which is an I2 showplace and highly customized solution.

But heres the good news - Dead compaq systems make great doorstops and double as garden pagota's!
