Joseph: The United States essentially did away with witch hunts by adopting a constitution which allows the accused to face its accusers. You are wrong about the strength of SI relying on hiding the ID's of its commentators. Silicon Investor requires you to be traceable. Recently the SEC took enforcement action against a number of people who made false and misleading postings about various stocks to push up the price. Hopefully, the SEC will go after the short sellers who slander a company to accomplish the same objective of the pump and dump posters who hype stocks. I believe that false comments which damage a company are actionable offenses. It is just a matter of time before all of the people with hidden agendas are examined by the SEC. Freedom of speech does not have room for liars who hide and slander companies and people under a false ID.
