The voice of a reseller on the suspension of the deal. This reasonable posting from the Yahoo board raises some interesting and troubling questions.

Compaq-Compucom problem
by: CBMON24 55803 of 55871
We've purchased approx. 2500 boxes/servers through Compucom over the last few years, not to mention lots of drives, cards, etc...and we have a purchasing contract exclusively through Compucom. This will probably turn into some kind of legal trouble for CPQ. We puchase exclusively CPQ. I kind of figured that CPQ would have to struggle for awhile while weening off the indirects(Dell almost went belly up doing this a few years back), but this method is just plain dumb. Bad press, possible litigation, and the existing retail channels have got to know that they're next. If I were a retailer of CPQ, I would think it's time to support the box that's going to stay for awhile. I hold both CPQ and DELL for different reasons, but this just may be the beginning of a whole new set of problems. That AV carrot is starting to rot a little bit. They should have just made the announcement a year ago that as of such and such a date, yadyadayada......I've got some Compucom orders in right now and wonder if I'm getting those boxes and monitors.

my entire life savings was put into COOL stock at $41 a share
Wow I can't believe you are still holding COOL - you have had a couple of chances to bail at a minor loss in the last few months. Gotta know when to fold your hand...
