extreme highs in cci values should result in a good probability of significant future price advancement. there are various periods that can be scanned for beside the 21 such as the 13 and 34. there are also various time frames as well, going as far back as a 30-60 day lookback where you should see follow thru and buying opps. it would only make sense that for those kind of values to be generated there was alot of interest to begin with, what you would be monitoring is which stocks on the list will maintain that interest and follow thru on future opportunities for entry, this may only be via volume,as it is possible for a base to take place, resulting in a triangle setup. the more recent the lookback is, may require more time of monitoring.(it may also be the case that the recent high will be quickly reset due to immediate profit taking and allow for an entry on recovery of the pullback for a quick short term profit...) 10-30 and 30-60 day lookbacks should start showing the interest has been sustained and entry timed. so there should be different ways to play them based on the period of the lookback...
thanks for the hard work bob, may need an avg volume requirement though! nice job!

Bob,

An extreme spike in the 13, 21 or 34 dCCI at prices that are approx. 65% or more below the all time high, is most often a very strong intermediate term buy signal. It's an early signal however in that it leads the start of the advance by as much as 2 months.
Extreme spike at a high is a screaming sell signal.
