(I think this dialog is very constructive.)

I believe we should discriminate between "e-commerce" stocks, such as AMZN, E-BAY, YHOO, etc., internet service providers, and internet infrastructure providers.

E-commerce stocks are NOT technology stocks. They are service/product providers who use the internet as at least one of their media. To used a tired analogy, the e-commerce companies use the internet as the roads and highways to their offerings.

ISP's are not technology companies either. They are "highway builders".

Then there are infrastructure providers are such companies as CSCO, NTAP, WCOM, etc. They provide the raw materials to build the roads.
