Mr. Byron Xiao,

At the time, HP UX is rolling out a 64 bit architecture. And that was back in 1994.

DEC now Compaq, has had a 64 bit Unix O/S since 1992. They needed it to take advantage of the Alpha processor. HP unix system was 32 bit as late as 1997. I needed a 64 bit system running Oracle 64 bit for an application and checked this out pretty thoroughly. HP unix needed drivers to address anything over 10 gigabytes and no where robust as DEC's.

Thank You

JK
