Pearly,

It sounds like this Iceman guy is really pissed about his AMD investment. Next time you see him. Ask him to dump AMD and buy Intel instead. Believe me. He will be a whole lot happier and less psychotic, too.

And please pass on more information about this dude from the Yahoo board.

Regards,
Time Traveler

Pearly Mutton - Re: "Do us all a favor and PUT A SHOTGUN IN YOUR MOUTH AND PULL THE TRIGGER.....IT'S OVER! YOU LOST! AMD K6-3 IS THE SUPERIOR CHIP....."

Look down below - at the RED showing AMD's price dropping today.

Couple that with the ZERO PCs introduced yesterday using the K63.

Factor in the SUPERIOR performance of the Pentium III over the K63 - especially the SSE/Katmai performance enhancements compared to 3DYesterday:

anandtech.com

Then, think long and hard about WHY the K63 DawgMeat chip has to have its voltage jacked up 10% to 2.4 volts just to run at a mere 400 MHz - vs. 500 MHz and 1.8 volts for Intel's Pentium III

And what do you have?

AMD losing money.

This quarter.

Next quarter.

And, AMD's 3DNOW investment - going up in SMOKE !
