Dow Jones starts Internet index

NEW YORK - Dow Jones has created an index to track 40 key Internet
stocks in a move that should help investors keep track of one of the hottest sectors of the stock market. The Internet index has two components: a 15-stock average that will track electronic commerce companies, such as Amazon.com and eBay, and a 25-stock indicator that follows Internet service-related stocks, such as At Home and America Online. The index closed at 180.19 points Monday, up 9.85 points, or 5.78%, from Friday. The index is calculated from a base of 100 points as of June 30, 1998, and Dow Jones has compiled data on the index as far back as June 30, 1997.

Justa,

And if you run to the pay or cell phone after presentations to buy stock with the herd, you will mix in very well indeed.
