Chris, I am looking for a link covering the Japanese bubble collapse found this so far Asia crisis homepage -I am not sure if Japan's bubble is covered stern.nyu.edu I will keep looking but basicly the head of the Japanese central bank tried to deflate the bubble with rate hikes before it collapsed of its own accord from even higher levels.
