Mary:

re <<,>>>"Intel Faces Serious Threats"<<< <<<ooooohhh. I'm terrified >>>

You forgot to mention that Intel now has Osha breathing down it's neck. Merrill Lynch named Joe Osha to replace Tommy. Indicated they had suspended research on Intel until Joe could update it with his own research.

No one could simply just go pick up a research report or review a spreadsheet. Tom must have had a big black cauldron in a back room somewhere.

Regards,

Greg

You have to admit though that their latest and greatest chip the mighty PIII kind of sucks! It is really a PII with a higher price tag as far as I am concerned. THere is NO real perfromance except for a 10% higher clock speed. If you make adjustments to normalize clock speed this is a chip not worth introducing IMO. People will buy it because it has a new name and they under the impression that it is better somehow. IMO AND K-7 will put more heat on Intel. No it will not hurt them much but they will loose some high-end marketshare to them just as the lost some low end marketshare in the last year.

Mary - Re: ' Same ol', Same ol'.

It never stops.

Our Media Journalists want to see ABJECT FAILURE - that's what they worship.

An anomaly like Intel is beyond their comprehension - therefore, it is evil and must be destroyed.
