Don, Interpretation-A concept of a work of art as expressed by its representation or performance. It would appear that calling interpretation a science is somewhat of a stretch. Even something as basic as language lends itself poorly to interpretation. Oftentimes an intepreter is is forced to slightly change the meaning of things in order to correctly translate. the message is then changed somewhat by the filter of the the interpreter. Even in nterpreting basic language, there is some "art" to the process. Interpreting divine revelation must be at least "slightly harder". :-) If it was pure science with no room for interpertation, the flavor of this thread would be somewhat different, no? Mark
