The following section is at the bottom of the article ....
they're beginning to get it (tho no reference to LU/ASND)!!!

==============

Bad Plumbing

Telecom infrastructure is the place to be for the next 12 to 18 months. Everything that is in place today needs to be thrown out and replaced. Every piece of networking equipment, switch, router, server hardware, database -- the whole thing -- needs to be upgraded.

Why? Current corporate systems are very well designed to handle thousands or tens of thousands of users. The problem is, they need to be able to handle millions.

Every ISP and telco network must be upgraded to handle 10 million to 100 million users, with new features for security, caching, load balancing, firewalls, etc. This is starting already and will accelerate as Y2K testing is completed this spring.

Cisco (CSCO:Nasdaq) is an obvious beneficiary, except for my comments on big-cap valuations already being stretched. There are many small-cap and mid-cap technology and communications stocks from which you can buy a basket.

Please don't ask me which ones. Do some homework on this site, and you will find a number of high-quality names to go in that basket.
