I suggest you go back and read Anand's benchmarks again. You got it exactly backwards.

Trouble is, Intel is selling FASTER CLOCKS with their Pentium IIIs - which make the systems A LOT FASTER.

Well supported?

By a few game companies.

So - AMD will get the poor gamer purchases - the ones that can't afford the really good machines.

And all these game companies will be issuing SSE/Katmai versions - just to stay competitive with all the other game companies who are doing the SAME thing.
