Marginmike,

I thinks for sure NOKA needs helps on its WCDMA efforts in terms of patents and technical helps. Otherwise why it needs to get licenses with IDC and co-op with IDC at the same time. Think about it. If NOKA needs IDC's patents and helps, NOKA has to sign with QCOM's CDMA patents again for its WCDMA efforts sooner or later. We will see. IDC's patents and R&D efforts were designed specifically for broadband WLL efforts if I remembered correctly.

Simens has got enough of IDC's R&D know-how. It is natural to untie at the moment while trimming its own expenses. Unlike NOKA, Noka just starts to pull WCDMA things together while Tero claims NOKA's started in early 1990.

We will see. Noka will have to show us money again.
