I did look at your post. During the conference call which was close to the end of January, either Bezos or Covey said sales in January were below Decemeber. They did anticipate that Q1 of 99 would have a revenue increase over Q4 of 98. Based on the Media Metrix numbers, I would guess that almost as many people are visiting the Amazon site in January as in December but either are not buying or are buying less. This would make sense since one would have a need to make more purchases in December. That is not a negative on Amazon in that having almost as many customers visit in January as in December is quite good. The seasonality of the sales would be expected too.

I do not not doubt Amazon can grow revenue. I still doubt they can ever become profitable since fufillment costs still exceed gross margins. I am looking for something that could change that in which case I could go long.
