Sales from Continuing Operations of $74.1 Million Up 328% Operating Income from Continuing Operations of $4.5
Million Up 104%

Diplomat Direct Marketing Corporation (NASDAQ: DIPL) (the "Company") announced today (subject to the filing of its
10-K, expected to be filed with the SEC shortly), record net sales for the twelve months ended September 30, 1998, of
$74,586,000 from continuing operations versus $17,465,000 for the twelve months ended September 30, 1997, and
operating income from continuing operations of $4,492,000 versus $ 2,207,000 for the prior period.

Income from continuing operations for the twelve months ended September 30, 1998 was $1,260,000 or $0.12 per share
on 10,717,628 average common shares outstanding versus income from continuing operations of $1,262,000 or $0.24 per
share on average outstanding of 5,992,454 shares for the twelve months ended September 30, 1997.

The 1998 results include the acquisition of Lew Magram by the Company for the twelve months, and the acquisition of the
assets of Jean Grayson's Brownstone Studio, Inc. by Brownstone Holdings Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the
Company for the period beginning November 1997. Lew Magram, Ltd. and Brownstone Holdings Inc. are in the business
of mail order catalog sales of women's apparel.

After giving effect to the loss from discontinued operations pursuant to the sale of substantially all the assets of its wholly
owned subsidiary Biobottoms, Inc. on April 17, 1998, the net loss was ($1,426,000) or ($0.13) per share for the twelve
months ended September 30, 1998.
