Jeeves never lost a bet, whether on horses, children's athletics, long-winded sermons, or Bingo Little's matrimonial prospects. Of course, he always had inside information, and did not always share it. The feudal spirit only goes so far. 3:15 AM here, and for some unholy reason FedEx has decided to land in the opposite direction from normal, which means they fly their planes over my house at ridiculously low altitude. Went to the computer with the intention of selling the damned stock to get even, but decided not to. Jeeves would doubtless contrive a way to persuade them to stop.
