Thanks, but it was mostly dumb luck. My LEAPS had got to a point where the stock would have had to drop tremendously to guarantee a profit. I went ahead and put the money into LEAPs on pVN (which is not working out too well) and Sch, where I got some 40s of 2000 for just over $2. No profits there today either. But I am still well ahead on getting out of AMZN puts.

I have no more money for puts right this minute but if I did, I might well (right this minute) put in a bid got some ZWEML puts at 15 3/4 --these are 60s of 2001. Expensive but lots of time to work out.

But as you see, I am not doing it. I am afraid of anything shorter than six months, anyway.

I am quite enthusiastic about the SCH mentioned above for something cheap. They were over 30% higher only days ago.

Hi Stefan!

Just a note that I have put in an order to buy back my AMZN puts at $800 less per put than I sold them the other day--if it goes through.

For some reason GTC limit orders seem more likely to be executed than day orders, on options--or so it seems to me. Maybe it appears that you mean business if you do that, whereas a day order could be someone just monkeying around.

But I really don't know.
