"Are you making money doing what you are doing?"
No.

"Are you happy doing what you are doing?"
No.

At least not just yet. Still learning. But I appreciate your post.

I have noticed very little mention of Candlestick formations on this thread. Although many people are using standard indicators for short term moves I rarely see this old time favorite talked about.

Some of my favorite scans include looking for a general trend using standard indicators with a given 2-5 candlestick formation at the end. I also apply volume measures to each candlestick in the pattern. I don't use this approach for medium to long term trades but for short-term trades 1-3 days in length I have found candlestick very useful.

I would appreciate any tips or comments in regards to this topic.

Best Regards
KEITH

I think I had a glimmer of insight today. I'm wondering if some of you can respond to the following:

"Using price pattern *together* with volume pattern is enormously superior for predicting price direction than using only price pattern alone.

Doing the latter is like a boxer entering the ring figuring he can do okay just using one hand to fight."

I don't really know if the above is the case or not. Please give any comments that shed some light on the issue.

Thanks
