PMS,

In the case of my son in law,he has a sailboat with two cabins and if you have ever been on a sailboat, they are not know for having a lot of room. They will use it for movie watching when they are gone for months at a time . And yes, they do hold more data.

Dorine

Off topic: DVD and Dell

Yes, the DVD holds many times more data than CD-ROM. Another advantage is it enables non-jumpy animation. This has something to do with the way DVDs can stream data. Rumor has it that Microsoft is moving toward distributing software using DVD sometime next year. This could become a new standard, but be careful, just around the corner stuff doesn't always gain a foothold. Hope this helps, Fred.

P.S. One can always phone Dell and ask them why a purchaser should consider this feature. If they can't explain it, they can't sell it!
