The Asian slowdown did not effect Spectrum sales directly but because most of Spectrums oem's are global and sell into the Asian market they were much more conservative in launching new product and ordering as their propjections were geared for a slowdown. The "f" is for foreign but many Canadian companies PMCS, Spectrums neighbor, and others have petitioned the Nasdaq successfully to not have the F as part of their symbol or company persona. Many investors are leary of the f as the companies are not required to comply with GAAP and hence their accounting is not as easily documented. As you know Spectrum this year is in compliance with US GAAP regulations a very unique move for small Canadian comapanies..a sign of things to come without the f word err letter.
