I have never had venison ragout, but I do love venison. If you care to post the recipe, I would like to have it.

My most recent triumph was osso buco, I got a very good deal on veal shanks, and I had always wanted to try it. It took much longer for the shanks to tenderize than the recipe called for, but the sauce was positively unctuous with marrow when it was finally done. Nobody but me wanted any of it, so I had it all to myself. The kids are into burgers, pizza and tacos; the husband is into sushi and pho.

When you decide to serve up Thumper, let me know. I do an excellent rabbit jambalaya, also a baked rabbit dish with a marinade of red wine and liberal quantities of Dijon mustard.

I had ol Thump when I was a houseguest in France. Lovely wabbit stew, with mushwooms.
