Great posts, Rudy. Since Cistron followed through with the portended action of selling the reagents business to Techne, perhaps they'll follow through with the rest of your analysis, which was to raise the possibility of the company selling in pieces.

With the reagents business gone, an acquirer for therapeutic rights to IL-1B may step forward, or the rest of the company could be sold or merged. The remaining pieces are the PMC deal, IL-1B rights, and cash. Since the cash is worth more than the company, they may finally have the right strategy -- strip away parts that subtract from CIST's value.

So Rudy, tell me why it is a good idea for CIST spin-off the only product that had a market?

Over the next five years CIST could have made $2 million by continuing to sell the product. I'm sure that over that same period losses would be about about $2 million also.

So, tell me what you think the income statement will look like next year -- I mean the year the $750,000 is not listed on the income statement as revenue.

For the fiscal year July 1, 1999 through June 30, 2000, what should we expect to receive in royalties? What should we expect to receive from PMC? Do you think those royalties and research grants will cover the cost of the research? Do you really think this will make CIST profitable?

It seems to me that CIST has done what it likes to do... make sure that all they do is do research and get royalties.

Help me to understand how this is going to make the stock price go up?

Rudy,

You are good at finding info.

Do you know where the top secret Techne deal news release is hidden?
